Man City sign Cherki for £34m

Manchester City have completed the £34m signing of attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki from Lyon. The 21-year-old has signed a five-year deal until the summer of 2030. Cherki contributed 12 goals and 20 assists in 44 games in all competitions for Lyon last season.

Cherki arrives in time to be part of Citys Club World Cup squad, with Pep Guardiolas side opening their campaign against Moroccos Wydad AC in Philadelphia on June 18.
